Basically, &quot;Default&quot; is just a temporary name that Anki automatically assigns to new decks that don&#039;t have a specific name.<br \/>If you want to change the name of the &quot;Default&quot; deck (eg to &quot;German A1&quot;), here&#039;s how:<ul><li>In the main Anki window, right-click on &quot;Default&quot; and select an option\u00a0<strong>Rename<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Enter the desired name (eg &quot;German A1&quot;) and press\u00a0<strong>Enter.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><div><b>Start learning:<\/b><\/div><\/div><div><ol><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>In the main Anki window, select the deck (list of cards) you just imported (for example &quot;German A1_ 756 words&quot;).<\/li><li>Click on\u00a0<strong>Study Now<\/strong>\u00a0(Study now).<\/li><li>Anki uses a spaced repetition system, which means that the cards will be shown to you again at intervals that depend on how well you have memorized them.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<b>How to study?<\/b><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0 \u00a0 When you see the card, try to think of the answer (the translation or meaning of the word) before turning over the card.<\/div><p><b>1. If you select &quot;<b>Again<\/b>&quot;, the tab will be shown to you again shortly. If you select &quot;<b>Easy<\/b>&quot;, the card will be shown to you again only after a long time.<\/p><\/div><div><b>Make a plan:<\/b>\u00a0It is recommended that you study a few flashcards each day, and as you progress, you will remember more and more. Anki makes sure that your cards are shown again in the right way and at the right time.
